First movie in forever

Girls had been begging to see the new Spirit  movie in the theater and I decided it was time. Plus there was a forecast for rain so no swimming anyway.

So the whole family - all 5 of us went! And it was a great time. We all loved the movie and Nora did great. I thought she’d take a nap and at the beginning I thought for sure she was going down. But she hung in there and watched the whole thing.

Good to be getting back out .

Basketball Camp Success

Last year no camps so this year I decided we were going to try a few. First up was basketball camp with the high school varsity coach and team. And this is no understatement when I say the girls had the bets time ever. It even lead to cleaning up the garage do they could practice and play more.

They learned some great drills and both won the attitude/ sportsmanship award one day and Greta won the Hornet Shootout another day because she scored the most in a minute.

Very proud mama!

And that’s a wrap on the 2020-2021 school year

We made it. We survived all virtual. 2 days a week (we were blue so Monday and Wednesday). Back to virtual. Back to hybrid. And finally 4 days a week and 1 zoom! We made it the last way for over 3 months. Masks and all. But kids are resilient and didn’t complain much. They loved being in person with their friends. Being normal kids.

So grateful for the great teachers and staff so toughed it out and made the most of the year. They are way better at teaching my kids than I am, and I’m not afraid to admit it.

After the last day we celebrated with ice cream and lunch at the Dairy Barn .

So heres to the weirdest year ever but a successful one! And now it’s on to 3rd grade and kindergarten!

Soccer season wrap

Finished up a great soccer season without masks. We played 6 out of 8 games and practices with them.

Lola did great and got lots more aggressive. She scored lots of goals and learned to kick the ball lots harder!  Much have been that awesome coach Lola had!

Greta also got lots better. She scored a goal im every game but 2. Played great defense and really took charge being one of the older girls on the team.

We also had a little cheering section - Aunt Mary, Karle, Miss Jocelyn and her mom!

Lola’s Young 5s Graduation

Lolas moving on up! We were lucky enough to have a little celebration for the Young 5s to wrap up their first year. A cute photo booth, cupcakes and ice cream, a song and a graduation certificate.

Lola made some great  new friend and I’m certain shes going to do great in kindergarten.

I also got to see Lola’s teacher for the first time without a mask. It was great to finally chat with her.
