Sore & Tired

Wow!  It's seeming like this week is never going to be over!  After getting home late on Sunday and then teaching 7 classes at the gym with 2 more tomorrow... I'm sore and tired and on this cold, windy, gloomy day I would much rather be laying in bed, catching up on my shows that I had to DVR last night since I had to get up at 4:55 am.

Oh well... have to push through - maybe with a little help from my friend Mt. Dew because I've got a hot date tonight with Ryan... oh yeah - we are going to see the Lion King in 3D!  So excited!!  First birthday activity of the weekend!

Turned in the keys

So after packing and boxing and moving out of my apartment in South Lyon for over 2 months, it's official!  I am moved out and turned in the keys last night.  Luckily for me, I have a man who likes to work and help out... so he fixed the hole in the wall that I put there like 2 years ago and help moved all the rest of the stuff out while I was teaching at the gym!  Thanks babe!!

Well on the good side... that's 1 down and only 2 to go!  So if we could just sell that lake house, we could only have 1 place of residence :-)  How awesome would that be!

Golf Weekend Up-North

So thankful for golfgrouper for an amazing golf deal!!  Ryan and I packed up and headed up to Arcadia for a weekend away and full of golfing at Crystal Mountain - 3 rounds of 18 planned! I've never golfed more than 18 in a weekend much less than golf 3 rounds in about 24 hours!  But Ryan loves to golf and I like to golf and love being with him - so I thought it was a great idea.

We got a to spend a relaxing more in Arcadia on Saturday - of course with a trip to Amish store for some goodies and of course cinnamon rolls for breakfast!  YUMMY!  Then geared up for our first round.  After a dreary, rainy morning, the clouds parts and the sun came out - an absolutely beautiful fall day!  We both played really well and had a few drinks - met some new people (being a 2-some we got paired with some older guys - very nice, okay golfers too).  After the round, back to the cottage for the night.  I had packed wine and champagne and all kinds of snacks for dinner... so we hunkered in for the night and relaxed - something we definitely don't do enough of.

Then up at the crack of dawn for our 1st of 2 rounds - first tee time... 7:30!   This is what it looked like when we were driving there!

But we finished in 3 hours and were then able to relax before our 2nd tee time.  Our 2nd tee time, I golfed the best I've ever golfed!  98 for the round!!  WOO HOO!  Only thanks to my great coach, Ryan, and my new birthday present driver (who has been named Stella).  We finished about 4:30 and it was back to cottage to clean up and get Joey and head home.

Amazing weekend and we both realized we must do it more often!

Funniest moment of the trip!
Ryan trying to reach through the windshield of the golf cart - it wasn't open!  Had to be there but it's still making me laugh!

No Power? Really?

It's never good when you get a text that says, "we have no power!"   Especially when it's not storming outside.  But nontheless, I get this text from Ryan on Wednesday.  DTE was supposed to come to our house to fix the meter that was struck by lightening before we moved in.  Instead, they decided a wire was not stable and they will replace the meter, but turn our power off :-(

After a not so nice call to DTE by Ryan, they tell him our power will be back on that night.  Okay - I can deal with that.  So we go out for sushi and come home, still no power.  We go to bed, still no power.  We get up the next morning, still no power!!  AHHH!!  How do you get ready in the morning without power?  And since we have well water, you can't shower or flush the toilet.  Oh dear!  I tell Ryan he needs to call again!  And he does and finally a time... power will be back on by noon.

I had not been feelling well the past couple days, end up leaving work early to go home.  And when I arrive... POWER!!  Yeah!  And only a few things in the frig needed to be thrown out.
