Nora 3 months

What a crazy 3 moths it has been since Nora was born. She was born when influenza was crazy - including myself and the girls had it. Then about 2 weeks after, coronavirus blew up and from March 14th and on, we’ve been home - which is both a blessing and a curse.

Noras top 10
1. Loves her sisters and lights up when she sees them, especially Greta
2. Sleeps through the night and has been for a couple weeks.
3. Is a good eater and punctual about 3 hours
4. Has great hand / eye coordination and can tab things
5. Wears 6 month cloths
6. Doesn’t like when I eat pizza or tacos
7. Loves to be part of the action and doesn’t want to be left out
8. Loves her bath
9. Not a huge fan of tummy time.
10. Loves watching me work out - constantly smiles

Can’t wait to see what she discovers this next month!

Up north Fun

The girls and I have been at home so what seems like forever. The girls have only left the house once since March 21st and that was only to get ice cream and they never even got out of the car. So when the invite came to go up north with Julie and Jason and Dad - we took it. Nice weather. Lots of 4 wheel riding. Cousin fun. And a change of scenery. It was just what we needed!

A few highlights...
1. Girls held a dead snake

2. Greta drove Uncle Jason all over on the 4 wheeler
3. Hearing Brayden say Baby Nora over and over
4. Lola wanting to ride with Aunt Julie on the 4wheeler
5. Sunshine
6. Nora also the entire way there and back - great car rider!

A few collages of our fun!

Thumb Found

Nora has been always working on getting her thumb snd hands into her mouth. I knew it was bound to happen and it did. She got her thumb in there and started sucking.

Update: she hasn’t been successful again so fingers crossed she won’t suck her thumb.

Mother’s Day 2020

This was now my 8th Mother’s Day and my first with all 3 girls. It was perfect and I even wore jeans and out on make-up.

The girls planned and prepared a breakfast in bed all by themselves.

Ryan picked up flowers the day before.

Mom and Dad came down for lunch - was so great to see them as it had been probably the longest I had gone without seeing my mom.

Despite everything going on now, it was a great day and reminded me how lucky I am to have such amazing girls and a great mom that taught me how to be a mom.

Greta’s 4wheeler lives

New parts and some wrenching by Ryan, gretas 4wheeler finally works again and she couldn’t be more excited. Ryan even let Lola drive it - with him on the back. Lola has 1 speed - fast. Greta is much more responsible driver.

Homeschooling day who knows!

We’ve been hanging in there... but many mornings this is what homeschool looks like.

Me: feeding Nora and teaching 2 kids
Greta: working on seesaw for her daily assignments
Lola: working in letters,  sounds and numbers
Nora: eating or burping or spitting up

A great day

Some days are harder than others. I try to find good in each day but each day I struggle. Monday we had beautiful weather and the girls and I made the most of it.

Fairy garden set back up and played with

Pretend wayfinding

Girls lunch with fancy ladies (girls got dressed up)

Trampoline jumping - which Greta can finally do a flip. No pictures of me but I also did lots of jumping too.

And lots of laughing and smiling and having fun!

Barbie, barbies and more barbies

The girls have been playing lots of Barbies. They like to watch videos on YouTube to get ideas on what to do with the Barbies. Here is our conversation...

Greta: did you watch videos to get ideas when we were little?
Me: no we didn’t have videos to watch.
Greta: how did you come up with ideas?
Me: we had to use our imagination.

She was so amazed! I think her mind was blown! 😂

Only Barbie picture I currently have

Updated with the new yoga studio I made with a box, wrapping paper, scrapbook paper and tape. Not too bad.

Sprinkler Fun

Finally had a truly perfect spring day. Sunny. Temps in the 70s. And low winds. And of course to the girls that meant swimming but the pool isn’t open yet so Lola decided they should run through the sprinklers.

It was cold but they had sooooo much fun. Lots of laughing and screaming. So much joy!
