Thanksgiving 2018

We spent Thanksgiving down in Greenwood this year and celebrated with the Delaneys.  We lucked out and had some nice weather to do some roller skating and bike riding around the neighborhood as well.  And had lots of great food!

A weekend in pictures...

The Grinch

Two of my new mom friends and I decided to take all the girls (surprisingly we all have girls - 7  of them) to the movies to see the new Grinch.

And what a success it was!  All the kids loved it.  The moms all loved it and got to enjoy an adult beverage.  So much fun!

Saline Craft Show 2018

Today was the Winter Saline Craft Show and we stuck with tradition... Mary and Karle came over and mom drove down.  We enjoyed a fun night in laughing and watching Bridesmaids.  And then woke up early and headed to the show - no VIP this year so it was super early.

We all got some great new things- lots of Christmas decorations of course.  New shoes for Brayden.  Some Christmas gifts.

What a great tradition that I love!

Fall Fun

One of my favorite fall memories growing up was making leaf houses with my sisters.  And this is something that Greta (and now Lola) have done for the past few years.  And she loves it.  We even had a small fire place with chestnuts this year.

And then the second best thing about fall is jumping in the leaves - which both girls love! And then a new game we started last year was to bury someone in the leaves and they count to 10 and turn into a leaf monster and chase everyone around.  A great way to burn off energies!

Halloween 2018

Fun new traditions for Halloween...

Greta had a little parade at school and then a Halloween party.  Lola trick or treated at a retirement community - so cute.  The girls were super heros this year - Batgirl and Wonder Woman!

And then we wrapped up the evening with friend - trick or treating and then hanging out.  Even met some great new friends along the way.  And the biggest bonus - great weather.  It had rained all morning and then the skies parted and we had great weather - no snow pants or heavy coats necessary.

One house even had a haunted garage set up - and I was super surprised that Greta went through it with Ryan.  Lola and I wanted no part - but I so proud at her for trying it.  She said it was pretty scary but she did it!
