Greta’s 8

This awesome girl is 8! She’s smart, stubborn, a huge helper, a leader of many. We celebrated her while on spring break and her big wish was to get her ears pierced! And like a champ she did it!

Also a wish was a BB gun and daddy came through!

Nora 13 months

The months just keep cruising by and Nora just keeps growing and learning. I love this age so much and love watching her explore and discover things.

Top 10
1. Can official crawl! Hurrah!
2. But prefers to butt scoot because it’s faster and she can still see what everyone is doing.
3. Love day care and has won everyone over there
4. Is quite vocal when she doesn’t get her way or you make her made
5. Loves barbies, especially the babies
6. Loves brushing hair especially everyone else’s
7. Still no teeth but I think 5 are ready to come through any day
8. Can make a doggie noise and tries all the other noises - we are getting closer
9. Gets excited when you tell her we are going outside or for a walk
10. Can get up ok her knees now too. Big progress!
11. Went to church for the first time - she loves it and smiles and waved at anyone that looked at her. Crazy how she can read people even with masks on.

So much fun to come this next month as she gets more and more mobile! Look out world! Nora is on the move!

Wipeout

It was bound to happen ... one of the girl was took from wipe out on their bikes... and to my surprise ... it was Greta!

We went in the last stretch before the car and I was back pushing Nora and getting Lola started on her bike when I heard the cry. Ran up. Got her up. No blood. No broken bones. But a bruised chin and sore side.

Confession from Greta she was trying to ride no handed. 😢 and now we know we aren’t quite ready for that.

Back to church

I have been wanting to go back to church for a while now and finally got the courage to do it - with the girls. We went on Saturday morning because there are usually very few people there (maybe 25). And wow! It was just what I needed personally. It filled my bucket as Greta would say.

Nora loved it and it was her first time.  She watched all the people. Smiled when anyone looked at her. And actually didn’t make too much noise.

Lola enjoyed being back but really wanted there to do Sunday school.  But a great children’s message got her excited.

Greta was great as well and read all the words and sang all the words to the songs. She also loved sitting with Nora.

I had to sneak a quick picture because they looked so cute sitting together.

PS - She had her mask down for a quick snack.

Adventure of Nora

This girl cracks me up! Some of the things she does and situations she gets into ... I’m in trouble very soon!

Happy St Patrick’s day

We dressed in green (something that we don’t do very often in our house). Girls made a leprechaun trap, unfortunately didn’t catch anything.

Bike riding

With warmer weather means more time outside and that meant bike riding! Lola decided she was ready to learn to ride her bike. And after a few attempts has completely nailed it. So lucky to have a great park so close with lots of great trails. She rode 3 miles all by herself today  and really only one fail, when she stopped and the bikes tipped over and she went with it!

Greta is good too and loves going down the big hills on the trail.

And Nora loves riding in her stroller and taking it all in... sometimes even a nap!
