First movie at the theater

Big day at the Delaney's.... it was Ryan's birthday so we went and saw Cars 3 to celebrate. Wasn't too sure how the girls would do, but after the previews they were really good. Sometimes I think try forget about who is in the theater when they show those previews. Lola kept saying "done yet? No."

But once lightening came on they were great! And our new theater in Saline is awesome. Chairs recline and lean back. Very roomy! Lola and I shared and one once did she tell me, "swooshing me" - yes those were her words.

So fun!!

We then went to lunch and celebrated with a lightning cake.

First trip Up north 2017

Nothing says summer than a trip up north to Ruth Lakke! Almost the whole family. Lots of food. Tractors, 4 wheelers and gators. Swimming. Close quarters. Mostly happy kids. Only 1 tick behind my ear. On and off good weather. Hikes up the big hill, once carrying Lola. A new trail named after me. Mary getting stuck. Kids falling asleep on the 4-wheeler. Lots of laughter. Flies, flies and more flies. Long rides.
All made for an awesome weekend.

I love making these memories! And I love that the girls get to experience all this fun!

Greta dentist check up

Greta had a great check up at the dentist today. Teeth looked great and she was a great listener! All makes for a happy mommy!

Lola even got to sit in the chair but didn't open her mouth - wasn't a real check up- just practicing.

Lola 22 months

I can't believe that in 2 months, Lola will be 2! Where has the time gone! In this last month Lola has turned into quite the little person. Definitely losing a lot of her baby traits, which makes me a little sad.

1. Loves to sing - newest song is the hot dog song.
2. Loves to dance and loves to do it on a stool. Thanks to a friend, I realized Mickey dances on a platform - feel better that's probably where she got it - lol.
3. Knows lots of words and tries to repeat everything you say
4. Loves the pool and any water
5. Knows some of her colors - red, blue purple, and orange. And usually yellow. Still working on green.
6. Is finally moving up to blue group - the next room at day care
7. Goes on the potty about half the time.
8. Loves books and will pick up and start reading or grab your hand and say book, which means you better start reading now.
9. Still a mommy's girl
10. Knows most animals and the sounds they make

Had to post more than one too classic

First real vaca away without the girls

For Ryan's and my 5 year anniversary we decided to take a trip together... just the 2 of us. After debating many options, we decided on a few days at Hilton Head Island and then a couple in Savannah.

What a great time we had, even though we both felt a little guilty leaving the girls - since everyone ends had their kids and I'm sure the girls would have loved it.

We laid on the beach. Swam in the ocean. Took long walks on the beach. Went to nice dinners. Ate amazing seafood. Hung out at the bar. Still woke up early - or at least I did. Everyday! Went on tours. Talked with lots of interesting people. Visited a museum. And enjoyed each other's company.

All in all it was a successful getaway!  So here's to planning our 10 year!! But maybe with a few weekend getaways in between.

A week of selfies

And a few favs

Fun at grandma's

The girls had so much fun at grandma's while ryan and I were away. Every time I called they were doing something fun and usually too busy to talk. Great sign!

They saw pretty girl, the goats, played on a trampoline, went to the park, rode in the tractor with papa, played with Aunt Julie and went to her house, went to the zoo and the ball park and lots more Im sure!

So thankful I never have to worry about them - they are getting plenty of fun, food and love! And maybe a bit of spoiling and I'm totally fine with that!

But the pictures tell it all!

Homecoming

Always great to come home, especially when you are greater with screams and squeals and hugs and more hugs and kisses.
Oh how I missed them!

Then as I was rocking Lola to sleep tonight, she kept pullling my face close and saying "home." And I'd say, yes. She'd say? "Mama. Dada."

Absolutely perfect way to come home.
