Hedge Work

Mission for Sunday was yard work... and more specifically... take care of the ever growing hedge.  We have already trimmed it this year once and it was even taller now.  Ryan got himself a new attachment to use so he didn't have to use the chain saw again, which wasn't so easy last time.

While he took care of that, I did the lawn mowing, which isn't the most enjoyable thing to do for me these days.... but nonetheless I did it.

Funny Puppy

I haven't blogged about Miller dog lately so I thought he was deserving.  He is one funny puppy.  Loves to run laps around the circle in the house, play fetch and bug Joey as often as possible.  But the funniest thing is how he sleeps... and yes he is really sleeping in all these pictures.

Cold and Rainy Saturday

Well the first day of fall felt a little bit more like early winter.  It was cold and rainy and actually hailed a little in Jonesville.  Ryan and I headed over to watch Kahle play soccer.  And he did great.  Scored some goals, passed the ball so others could score goals.  Definitely a little athlete there.

Then we hang out for a bit and had lunch at Saucy Dogs and then checked out Jenny and Stuart's new house and then back to the Welden's.  I got to play a little Sorry and read some books... great day!

Now back home to the couch to watch some football and snuggle in on this cold, cold day.  Thinking we should get the fireplace going.

Lazy Nights

Well I guess one of the best things about being sick (if there really is a good thing) is being lazy.  All week we have been a little under the weather.  And last night I think I hit bottom.  The bark is bark.  Running Nose. Sore throat.  And tired and achy.  Boo!  But it has made me lazy.  Laying on the couch by 6:30 has it's perks!

Delaney Fall Family Fun

A great fall weekend with the Delaney family.  They all drove up Friday night to to spend the weekend and it was so great to see everyone.  Friday to hung out at the house and had some dinner - a much less than desired (looks wise) crock pot lasagna (see my other post).  It tasted great once you took out the chared noodles.  Then Saturday, we all got ready and headed to Three Cedars Farms in Northville for some fall fun.  And it was great.  The boys (little and big) had lots of fun... and the girls did too.  We saw animals, went down the slides, rode John Deere tractors, ate yummy donuts with cidar and then went on a hay ride to pick a pumkin.  And Evan found a great big one.

The rest of the day we relaxed and hung out watching football and eating.  Sunday we had another great breakfast before Ian and Jan and clan headed home and we spent the rest of the day watching football with mom and dad Delaney and playing outside with Miller.

A great way to end a great weekend!

Football Saturday!

Finally the first home game for Michigan!  I went with Mom and Uncle David, while Ryan played in his league's golf outing.  And it was a great day.  Good football weather - 65 and sunny (for the most part).  And luckily, Michigan pulled it off despite not looking the best.

The pregame was also awesome... a falcon or an eagle - not really sure which one it was flew in to the field  and then the stealth flew over.  So cool!

Love Rain

God has finally been blessing us with some rain.  Last night we got another 0.6. Our grass is green and we are having to mow the grass at least once a week.  We could probably be moving it more, but just won't have time.  It makes me laugh since all summer I think we mowed it a total of like 3 times and this month already we have mowed it more than that.  Still waiting for a good thunderstorm but I guess I can just settle for rain.

A day of golfing

Ryan and I have been wanting to go golfing for a long time now and we finally got a chance on Sunday!  And picked a great day - cooler temperatures, a nice breeze and a great pace of play.  The best part though was I played the best I've played in a long time.  Golfed a 45 on the back nine (we played in reference) and then a 48 on the front nine - 93 overall.  Ryan golfed great as well - an 83!

Tiger's Game

Dad decided we should go to an impromptu Tiger's game. Despite the 90 degree temperature, I'm so glad we went.  We had great seats, awesome game, and they won!
