Up north fun

Top memories up north

1. Craft show with mom, Karle and th girls - followed by panic when I realized I lost my wallet
2. Joy when a Good Samaritan found me on Facebook and returned it to me
3. Braving the heat to seethe blue angels with Julie and Jason, Ryan, Mom and the girls. The girls kept yellong - are these the big jets? Look at the big jets.
4. Hearing and learning God’s word - I always leave feeling better.
5. Watching the girls play and grow before my eyes.
6. Hanging with Karle and Kahle. It always amazes me how mich they have grown.
5. Sisterly bonding! Always fun - even when one leaves and you have to FaceTime to solve a van mystery.
5. Hearing about the guys fishing trip. They had lots of fun and caught some tasty fish too.
6. Lots of beach time and of course lots of sand. There was sand everywhere. I still feel like I’m finding sand on the girls- how is that possible!
7. Enjoying time with mom and seeing her love on all 5 grandkids.
8. Drinking around the camp fire and laughing with Ryan while battling the mosquitos.
9. Food. Food. And more food!
10. Fans. Thank goodness for fans!
11. Fireworks! And seeing the fireworks through the eyes of Greta and Lola who both made it up for them.

And a quick recap with my favorite pictures

Camp Arcadia Fun

We all had a great time up north but I’ll tell you how great the girls did at camp. It’s the 2nd year Greta did it and again did awesome.... even thought this year I put her in with the older kids cuz Lola was doing to try the Arc. Great and her friend Aubrielle has a blast and even when Aubrielle left - Greta still did great.
Now Lola in the first day cried and cried a lot. But I had Mary take her back in there and eventually she stayed and had a great week. And by the end everyone at camp loves her...  no surprise there.

So check out these videos of the girls singing! Was so proud of them!!

Greta’s graduation

Today was a big day for Greta...

First she graduated from Safety Town.  I highly recommend this program.  Greta has learned so many valuable lessons and she even knows my phone number know!  How awesome is that!  She got to learn about fire safety and go into a smoke house and learn how to get out - bus safety, police and ambulance, crossing the road and more.

Then she finally graduated from Pre-K.  Such a proud but emotional moment. This fall she will start kindergarten and then the fun begins.  But to me this also means really releasing my baby into the school world.  Up until know, I felt pretty in control of what happened.  She had only 17 other kids in her class and I knew them all and a lot of their parents.  She had besties that she has gone to school with since she was a baby.

It was finally time for Gretas graduation - and she did great! She sang all the songs. Walked around stage. Sat nicely on her seat.

So hard to believe that I’m just a couple short months - she’ll be in kindergarten. Greta is excited - I am nervous and anxious for her. So hopefully that’s how it will stay. I want her to be confident.  She's smart.  A leader.  She's my baby and I love watching her grow up - just won't want to rush it!

Oh my Lola

Sometimes I don't even have words for Lola and how sweet and silly she is.  She is definitely going to keep us on our toes.  I can't believe in just over a month she is going to be 3!  Yikes - where has time gone.
