Florida Vacation

Well we lucked out with our Florida vacation... we had the only 80+ degree days.  I landed from Belgium at about 2:00 pm on Friday and we took off on Saturday at noon for Florida.  So I unpacked and repacked.  And wow!  The packing that is involved with 2 kids vs. one.  2 big suitcase, 1 smaller suitcase, 1 backpack, 1 diaper bag, a car seat and base, a double stroller, and who knows what else.

Greta was super excited to go on the airplane and see all the animals.  And Lola was just her happy, go lucky self.  First plane ride - success!  And then we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and sunshine.  Sunday, we loaded up and went to the Clearwater aquarium with one of Ryan's friends from work and then back to their hotel and pool on the beach.  Greta loved it and is still a little fish.

Monday, we headed to Busch Gardens.  And good news for us... it was empty!  Greta got to ride all the rides, multiple times. We watched Elmo's A is for Africa. Went on a train ride to see all the animals.  And ended the day with Greta playing in the splash park having the time of her life.

Before we left the parking lot

Tuesday, we went for a drive and then hung by the pool.  Lola got to swim for the first time and loved splashing and Greta loved it.

Wednesday and Thursday I had to work.  And Ryan manned the fort.  Then Friday, Ryan took the girls to the Tampa aquarium and did great!  The girls had fun!  And I'm pretty sure Ryan had a great time as well.

Saturday, we packed up and head home.  By about Thursday, I was ready... I missed sleeping in my own bed. The girls needed some structure.

But we all had a great time!
