Block Party, House Work and Farming

Our weekend was jam packed again with projects and activites.  We started Friday night off with a lazy night at home and watched Bridesmaid!  HILARIOUS!  Jules and Mar - I am totally going to rent it and bring it to watch this weekend.

Then Saturday - up and at 'em.  I took back 150 cans, I think 140 of them were beer... Hmm... too much?!  LOL!  And then back home for start my chores - and always at the top is mowing the lawn.  And I set a new record... mowed it all in less than 3 hours!  WOO HOO!  But while I was doing that Ryan had started a little (not really) project of his own... replacing the sump pump.  It was on it's last leg and definitely need to be done.  So after he gets it all installed, he decided to plug in the electric sensor (which works like the float used it... yeah I say that and actually know what it means).  But our house is crazy electrical and he plugs it in and about electrocutes himself and fried to sensor!  YIKES!  Random regular out is really a 220 outlet.  So after calling Home Depot and explains how it doesn't work, he takes the sensor back and brings back a new one, plugs it into a different outlet and it works!  Horrah!

On to the 2nd project of the day that I decided to attempt (with Ryan's much needed help)... but a new table top on this old work bench table they left of so I could actually use if in the laundry room.  We took a piece of plywood from the train room (aka our workout room now), and used liquid nails and a few screws also from the rain room and presto a new table.  All if needs is a coat of paint and it will be like new.

Then Saturday night, we attended our first Crane Road Block Party... what a great time!!  So fun to meet everyone on our street and do a little networking and have some great food.

Then Sunday morning... no sleeping in at RAD Farms.  I was headed to Unionville to ride in the tractor with Mom and Dad while they do sugar beets and Ryan was going to tackle a few projects at the house.  Like cleaning up the basement with all the scraps from the train room and then clean up the yard at the Lake House, clean up Joey's kennel and then mow it, and change the laundry around for me.

All projects were successful this weekend!  Who knows what we will decided to attempt this week, but I'm sure it will be good!  Happy Monday!
