When I look back years from now, I want to be able to reflect on all the events and amazing blessings God has bestowed on us.

Greta and the Christmas tree
Greta loves the Christmas tree. She is not at all scared of it or want to stay away from it. It doesn't even feel picky to her.

Sick again
Poor Greta is sick again. Long evening and night. No sleep for mommy... Literally. She just wanted to lay on me and snuggle. And then when she'd cough she'd wake up. And to tip it off a temp of 103 will make anyone miserable.
A trip to the doctor today and she has croup. So we have steroids to take for 4 days and humidifier as much as possible and try to keep the fever down. So far it's been down - tonight was only 99.5. Woo hoo.
But that means no day care and shuffling around our schedules to make it work. Hopefully she will be okay to go back on Wednesday.

Climbing up stairs... Oh no!
Time to officially baby proof. Greta crawled up to the top of the play house at day care... It's like 3 steps! Oh my!

Giving Thanks
Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for and this Thanksgiving I am thankful for so much. Here is my list and a few pictures from the weekend to tell my story.
1) Family and all the love we share - both near and far and young and old.
1) Family and all the love we share - both near and far and young and old.
2) Food on the table... and soon to be in the freezer
3) Making memories - like the first snow
4) This girl!
And a few more - a good job, loving day care providers to care for Greta, a great church and pastor to nourish our souls, dogs that test our patience but bring a smile to Greta's face every time she sees them, and friends near and far.

No place I'd rather be
Tonight I realized something. I'm a mom and and there is nothing I would rather be. My favorite place to be at 7:45 pm is sitting in my rocking chair nursing Greta. Then rocking her as she sings herself to sleep. Sometimes I sing to her too. It is the moment that everything fades away and looking down at her I know that there is good in this world.
James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.
8 months
Crazy how time flies when you're having fun.
Greta's top 10 at 8 months
1) can crawl both forward and backwards
2) celebrated her first thanksgiving with mashed potatoes, pumpkin and a taste if aunt Julie's banana cake
3) had her first trip to the ER and found out she had pneumonia (horrible experience, but we know that Greta weights 20 pounds)
4) played in the snow for the first time or more sat in it
5) tries to stand up on everything now
6) got to see her first deer (and will get to eat it soon thanks to daddy)
7) is a little shy at first and then warms up
8) makes funny faces especially when eating applesauce
9) can clap, wave and high five
10) is loved more than she will ever know by so many
