Happy 40th Birthday Ryan!

Well my man is officially in a different decade than I.

He work up to a decorated kitchen with signs.  I also gave Ryan his birthday gift... a custom made "Delaney IPA" that my friend at work's husband made.  I then designed labels and got him a cool Michigan 6-pack holder.  Then after work, we celebrated in true Delaney style with dinner at Mac's with perch.

Friday was then spent getting ready for his big 40th birthday party on Saturday.  And of course the weather on Saturday didn't cooperate at all.  It was about 60 degrees and monsoon like conditions. So that bounce house got cancelled but that didn't stop the fun!  We had about 40 people and lots of kids for a barn party.  We asked everyone to bring a 6 pack and then hoped for a beer tasting party... well that didn't happen and most people brought 2 6-packs so we had and now have enough beer for a HUGE party!  We even sent people home his 6-packs.  And one of Ryan's friends brought fireworks so that was fun as well.

(And I'm a bad wife and didn't get any pictures :-( )  BOO!!

Greta and cars

Greta loves cars!  All kinds, but especially Daddy's.  She loves riding in them, sitting in them, honking the horn, and I'm sure she will love driving them soon.

Oh teeth

Poor Greta - she's just never had an easy time teething and these last 3 to come through was the same. Fever, cranky, only wanting to be held. Even had to keep her home from school one day - and thanks to Aunt Mary for coming to the rescue!!

Good news 2 of the K9s are through and the last is close. Poor baby!

When doing a matching heads and tail puzzle... She says... "Now where is the deer's butt?"

Ryan commented that he was sore was cleaning up the barn and that his bury hurt... When he left the room, Greta looked at me and sai (straight faced)- why does daddy's butt hurt?" 

Then tonight when she asked him if it still hurt and sai yes, I said does he need an icy... And Greta said no daddy's a big boy - he doesn't need an icy. 

Getting teeth is hard

Just discovered that 2 of Greta's 2 year molars are through. Last week I just thought she was cutting 3 k9 teeth but turns out she was cutting 5 new teeth. Poor baby. I don't blame her for all her crankiness and no feeling good. 

Trip to NASDAQ

Materialise got to ring the opening bell at NASDAQ and I got to go along!  And I wasn't expecting to enjoy it so much, but it was an awesome experience!  We got to be on live TV and our pictures were shown on the big screen in Times Square.  Everyone from my team and all our customers had a great time!

Petting Farm Fun

Greta loves animals and is always wanting to go see them and hold them. So since Saturday morning we headed to Domino Farms. She got to see all the animals and hold and pet bunnies for a long time. She even got to ride the pony - I'm worried one day she is going to want one.

Swimming finished for the summer

Greta finished her next set of swimming lessons - parent and big tot. She did great and loves to jump and go down the slide... Even after going way way under s couple times. Thanks to my excitement and other nice parents she was scared at all. 

She still needs lots of work but success in that she's not afraid of the water or going under. 

Sequel update

The sequel is baking nicely. Measuring on at 30 weeks and string heartbeat of about 145. And feisty as all can be. I just don't remember Greta being quite this active. 

Getting super excited to meet this baby and find out what it is.
